ASTRO ATOMICA / PRIVACY

Privacy & analytics

Updated October 7, 2026. This notice covers astroatomica.net, projects.astroatomica.net (including its project landing pages), and minecraft.projects.astroatomica.net. Linked apps and external websites have their own privacy practices.

Optional visitor analytics

Analytics is off until you choose Allow analytics in Analytics settings. We use PostHog, with ingestion hosted in the United States, to count visits and understand which projects, links, and available video demos people explore.

After you opt in, we send an approved public page identifier and canonical page URL, stable product and site identifiers, the web platform and deployment environment, the event type and time, and a random anonymous browser identifier. Navigation events use approved destination and action labels rather than clicked URLs or text. Your anonymous identifier is stored locally, separately for each product on this hostname, until you revoke consent or clear site storage. It supports visits and navigation across pages of the same product and site. It is not shared across distinct products, apps or hosts, and we do not link it to a name, email address or account.

We also send anonymous session and window identifiers. The session identifier is scoped to the product in this browser tab, stored in session storage, and reused across page loads until 30 minutes without an analytics event. Closing the tab or revoking consent clears that stored session.

We exclude query strings, fragments, referrers, location codes or coordinates, user-entered content and user identities. Autocapture, session replay, surveys, feature flags, remote configuration, performance and exception capture are disabled. We request that PostHog skip IP-derived geolocation for these events, so we do not provide geographic analytics. Network requests disclose your IP address to PostHog, and PostHog can add it to stored events unless its separate project-level Discard client IP data setting is enabled. Our geolocation setting does not disable that server-side IP capture.

Your choice and browser storage

Allow or decline analytics, or change your choice at any time using Analytics settings in the footer. Your preference is saved in local storage on this hostname. After you allow analytics, we also store anonymous product identifiers locally; no analytics cookies are used. Declining stops future event capture and deletes this hostname’s stored analytics identifiers; it does not erase events already sent. Allowing analytics again creates a new identity. Clearing site storage resets your choice to off. Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track prevent capture even after a previous opt-in and clear stored analytics identifiers.

The Minecraft workshop separately stores your Day/Night appearance preference. The web host may process normal request logs when serving these pages; this analytics setting does not control hosting logs or linked services.
